In the second story, set in an Industrial School one lad Quinlan (Simon Lee) is sent to Brother Marco for a flogging. He recent misbehaviour and lackadaisical approach to training has not pleased the Brothers in charge. If they don't pull their weight most boys can expect to be punished sooner or later!
Brother Marco intends Quilan will learn to behave and starts with a good hard over the knee session of discipline.
This stinging opening is the precursor for a flogging with the whip. Its tails made of the best quality naval whip cord certainly get the boys attention. He won't be sitting easily in the refectory later that evening but his work ethic will improve to high heaven!
