The other lad Pettigrew (new StingLad Victor Creedon) is a first offender. He is Dawson's room mate and had been led on somewhat by his more bolder partner. Still today he will learn that is doesn't pay to flout the rules. He too has taken the choice of an alternative punishment and Mr Sharpe dispatches him to fetch the strap.
However, he walks uneasily to complete this task, with an already scorched and well reddened bare bottom. Poor young Pettigrew has just had one of Officer Sharpe's fiery spankings to start his punishment off!
